STUPID ME
In case some people were still unsure about my mental status (or lack there of), I thought I'd share this story. Last Tuesday I was playing on the playground behind the health department in Springfield. If you're wondering what I was doing playing on a playground behind the health department, well...I’m still wondering that myself. I thought it would be fun to hang upside down from this climbing structure that was shaped like a horse. I had my knees hooked over the horses mouth, hanging upside down, doing sit ups. If you're wondering why I was hanging upside down doing situps, that a very good question. So I was doing these situps and decided that I’d had enough of them. The plan was to execute a graceful dismount from the horse’s mouth. I had two options, either to bring my feet through my hands and lower them down in front of me, or to do a back flip and take my feet behind me. I decided for the first option. That was my first mistake. Upon bringing my feet in between my hands, my left foot decided to get hung on the bar. All this happened in the span of about 1 second. So there I was, hanging on with my right foot free and pointed towards the ground, and my left foot stuck up above my head. All of a sudden, my left hand popped off of the bar, and I decided it was time to come back down to earth. Upon looking back, I realize that I would of been fine had I only landed on one foot; the drop was only about 3 feet itself. But my body was just a little bit stressed out about the whole situation of falling through the air with one foot above you head, so instinctively my left hand went down to the ground to help support my landing. That was my second mistake. Apparently, I made quite the landing considering the circumstances. I hit the ground, fell backward, caught myself with my left hand, continued to roll backwards to absorb the shock of the fall, proceeded to roll all the way backwards and do a back flip of sorts, ending up on my feet facing the bar of which I had just cheated death upon. I did feel as if I had cheated death, and I had, so that was exciting. However, as all good things must come to an end. I soon discovered out that there was a severe pain in my left hand. I guess landing on it wasn't such a good idea after all. The next day my whole left arm was really sore. I guess it took a bit more of the blow then I thought it did. After examining myself, I had decided that I probably tore a few tendons in my left hand, and severally stretched out my left forearm. Needless to say, it hurts still, but will go away soon, at least that is what I’m telling myself will happen.
The moral of the story is, don’t play on the playground behind the health department, its bad luck.

Hmmm... sounds like the other moral is that even cautious people get hurt.
