NURSING CAMP UPDATE

Well, we have completed two very long days of nursing camp. Today half of the campers had CPR for 5 and half hours, and the other half learned vitals, sterile gloving, and some other random things. When the groups weren't doing that, we were getting pictures of the grouped by the rock, and getting demonstrations on backboard technique by the Cedarville fire department (they were really nice to come out and teach us). I got to lead devotions this morning and I think it went over well. We talked about the knowledge of God and His Word. I preached a little bit on Philippians 3:3-8. It till amazes me how incredible Paul's credentials were, and yet he considered all of them as dung compared to the far greater value of knowing Christ.
I haven't been getting a whole lot of sleep recently. On Sunday night we were supposed to have an early arrival camper come in at 5 till midnight, but his Greyhound buss got delayed and the person who was going to pick him up could no longer do it. Because I know where the Dayton buss stop is and I'm Amanda's favorite gopher, I got elected to go down and pick him up at 12:45am. I didn't get in bed until 1:20 and I had to get up early to get ready for registration the next morning. To add to my sleep deprivation, Jess, Eva, and I got up at 5:45 to go running this morning, and now I'm starting to just feel worn out and tired. It was a long day for me.
I've been commissioned to make a video of nursing camp to be shown on Friday when all the parents come to pick up their campers. I've been taking pictures and video furiously these past 2 days and every break I get I spend it on iMovie working on the video. I already have nearly 200 pictures and probably 30 minutes of video to work with, but the video I'm making is only about 3 and a half minutes long, so most of those pictures are just for fun and aren't going to make the cut. When I finish the video I'll be sure I put it up on my webpage.

Till next time...
